Best Practices for Joining LCFC Online Events:

  1. You will need a computer running Windows or MacOS, or a recent iPad.
  2. You will need to download the correct application for your device. Zoom www.zoom.us for laptops and desktops. Zoom Cloud Meetings from the App Store for iPad users.
  3. While you can use the speakers and microphone built into your device or laptop, you may find you have better performance using a USB Microphone, and a standard headset or earbuds. There are several inexpensive examples of these products available online for purchase.  
  4. When you haven’t been selected to present your song, your microphone should be left on mute. The icon at the bottom left corner of the meeting window controls the mute function.
  5. The host will select you by typing your name into the chat window and letting you know you're next.  
  6. Transitions should be quick, and musicians should be ready. If you are not ready when it is your turn, we will skip and come back to you.
  7. Since this is a live event, we will not be able to stop the activities to assist anyone with technical difficulties. You should do your best to be prepared in advance. If your technical difficulties infringe on the enjoyment of the group, we will drop you from the session, and you can attempt to rejoin.
