Special Benefit Concert for the
Friends of the People of Haiti

Compass

Live Bait

All proceeds from the benefit concert will be donated to Friends of the People of Haiti ("FOPH"), an organization founded years ago by Don and Cleon VanderVannet. FOPH supports a parish community in Trouin, Haiti that suffered significant structural damage to its church, school, rectory, and school teacher's home. A few hundred dollars (or more) targeted to be raised from the benefit concert can go a very long way to help them recover.

The benefit concert will feature the folk music groups Compass and Live Bait.

Literally coming from different musical directions, the members of Compass are united by the diversity of their influence3s. Their high energy music is fuled by strong five part harmonies and creative acoustic instrumentation.

Live Bait is known for its fine musicianship and has been catching its limit since the mid-80s with a large collection of old and new folk music tunes, ballads, blues, pop, rock, swing and original songs.

All proceeds from the benefit concert will be donated to the relief efforts of the Friends of the People of Haiti. Donations may also be made directly to the organization at Friends of the People of Haiti, c/o Debbie Schwiebert, 3913 - 14th Street, Rock Island, Illinois 61201.
